User instructions

The radiusguard will instantly work out-of-the-box. Switch on the wristbands and they are ready to use. Suitable for both adults and children and made from top quality and lightweight materials. The wristband works without an internet connection or app and doesn’t store any user data.

⦾ The radiusguard is purely intended as a notification tool for social distancing. The wristbands’ range is approximate and dependent on possible obstructions. Possible sources of interference or obstructions are: the human body, glass, metal or electromagnetic interference.

Scan unit

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Scan unit with built-in vibration motor and signal light (LED). IP67 Waterproof Rechargeable Li battery, instant USB charge.

Wristbands

1 set of lightweight silicon wristbands. The wristbands have already been secured to the radiusguard scan unit.

Activate your radiusguard

Switching the wristband on and off is done via the tab button on the wristband.

Activating the wristband: Touch the button for 4 seconds. The indication light on the scan unit will flash 3 times.

De-activating the wristband: Touch the button for 4 seconds. The indication light on the scan unit will light up for 3 seconds.

Please note!: The wristband includes a hard reset function - do not use this! The hardware reset is activated by the wristband once it has been pressed down for 10 seconds, so therefore only activate the wristband by keeping this pressed down for 3/4 seconds.

De wearables have a scan interval of 500ms to encrease battery life

USB Charge

The radiusguard contains a Lithium-ion battery which can easily be charged via USB.

Remove the wristband from the scan unit and plug the USB plug (recognisable by the 2 strips) into a USB port..

Notifications

Indication light activation

Signal when activating the wristband: The indication light on the scan unit will flash 3 times. Signal when deactivating the wristband: The indication light on the scan unit will light up for 3 seconds.

Indication light detection

The wristband will give off a light (LED) signal when you get too close to a passer-by who is also wearing a smart wristband.

Vibration function detection

The wristband will start vibrating when you get too close to a passer-by who is also wearing a smart wristband.
